Kent Price

Kent Price has 25 + years of experience in a wide range of HR leadership positions for global companies including Domino Sugar, Whirlpool Corporation, American Express, AIG/United Guaranty and the Center for Creative Leadership, CCL. Kent has been an executive coach starting in 2011, certified through the International Coaching Federation, ICF and CCL. 

Kent’s original coach training came from David Rock and the Neuroleadership Institute. He initially began his coaching at American Express coaching newly hired transitioning senior leaders and internal American Express leaders. As a part of senior level HR roles at American Express, AIG/United Guaranty and most recently the CCL, Kent has coached leaders in a wide variety of industries, in varying stages of company growth from start ups to large mature Multi-National Corporations in all parts of the globe. Kent has been very active his entire working career in dontating his HR professional support and coaching expertise to non-profits, military leaders and governmental organizations.

Kent has a strong passion in working with newly transitioning leaders, global leaders, non profit leaders, leaders changing industries, careers or experiencing a significant change in their lives. He has a deep appreciation and understanding of leaders experiencing this type of signficant personal change.  

Currently, Kent is a Leadership Coach for CCL based out of Greensboro, NC. Kent is certified to administer and provide feedback on all CCL survey instruments as well as many other survey feedback tools such as Hogan, Meyers Briggs, Firo-B, Workplace Big 5 and others.  Kent has experience in the following CCL programs, Leadership Development Program (LDP)®, Leading for Organizational Impact, Maximizing your Leadership Potential, Better Conversations Everyday, and Better Conversations and Coaching.

Kent’s experience includes new and existing leadership transition coaching, career transition coaching, significant individual and organizational change coaching, industry and geographic cross cultural transitions and all forms of start up and merger and acquisition transitional coaching. Kent’s approach to coaching stems from three fundamental philosophies. One is grounded in the nueroscience aspects of how our brains work and the impact that has when trying to alter your behavior or approach to people and tasks. The second is his grounding in the believe humans have an immense ability to change and transform or continuining to build on their powerful strengths as a leader. The third is his own deep appreciation for the experiences in life with other humans that makes coaching leaders engaging for his coachee and himself. 

Kent holds a BA from the University of Delaware and an MA in Human Resource Development from George Mason University. He has been the recipient of two ASTD Excellence in Practice awards and is SPHR certified through the Society of Human Resource Management. He is a certified coach through the International Coaching Federation and the Center for Creative Leadership.
