Rasha Hasaneen, PHD

Dr. Rasha Hasaneen joined AspenTech in February 2023 as Chief Product and Sustainability Officer with responsibility for strategy and execution of all product-related activities including product management, product marketing and product operations. She leads the advanced technology team and enterprise-wide sustainability efforts and collaborates across allbusiness units to develop and execute the company’s sustainability strategy.
Rasha is a diverse, technology and sustainability executive with background in general management, product management, product marketing, strategy and planning (including sales and operations planning), innovation and lean-sixsigma. Shehasmanagedproductportfoliosthroughouttheir lifecycle - setting and articulating strategy; working across cultural and organizational boundaries to drive execution; working with customers and go-to-market channels early and often to enable market adoption, and leading diverse high performing teams to deliver results.
Rasha has a broad set of experiences across industries across global brands such as General Electric, SAP, Hitachi, General Motor and most recently served as Vice President of Innovation at Trane Technologies and the Executive Director of the Center for Healthy and Efficient Spaces. Rasha has an interdisciplinary PhD in Sustainability spanning the chemical engineering, business and public policy disciplines from Texas A&M University, a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Engineering and Management in Mechanical Engineering from McMaster University.
Rasha currently sits on the Advisory Board for Venture4Climatetech and the One Earth Leadership Consortium.
As a passionate advocate for sustainability, environment and social justice and a champion of emerging technology and its potential impact on the world economy, Rasha uses her expertise and passion to help advocate for global innovation - changing how we think about our interaction with each other and the planet.
