DWIGHT GIBSON
Board Director, Interface Corporation
Dwight Gibson served as President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of BlueLinx Inc. (NYSE: BXC), a leading building materials products distributor in the US, from June 2021 until March 2023. Prior to that, he served as Chief Commercial Officer for SPX Flow, a leading global provider of process solutions and flow control technology to the food and beverage and industrial segments. Before joining SPX Flow, Gibson spent 12 years at Diversified Industrial, Ingersoll Rand. Before his time at Ingersoll Rand, Gibson worked in a variety of roles at McKinsey & Company, where he developed business strategies for a range of clients across a variety of areas, including technology, finance, pharma, industrial, and telecommunications.
Dwight is also a member of the Board of Directors for Interface, a publicly traded corporation headquartered in Atlanta. Interface is a global flooring company specializing in carbon-neutral carpet tile & resilient flooring. Interface helps to create high-performance interior spaces that support productivity, well-being & the sustainability of the planet.
Dwight has been recognized four times as one of the top African American executives in Corporate America by Savoy magazine in their February 2016, March 2018, March 2020, and Summer 2022 issues. He has also been recognized as a top executive by Black Enterprise in their Sept/Oct 2017 issue. Dwight believes in being involved in his community and giving back. In June of 2019, Dwight was honored as a recipient of the American Diabetes Association Father of the Year award. In April 2021, Dwight was honored by Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles and the Charlotte community as a UNCF MASKED (Mankind Assisting Students Kindle Educational Dreams) Award winner.
